Cattle Society to host Open Day

THE European Angus Cattle Society is all set to host its Open Day and Young Handlers Event this Saturday July 7.

Taking place at Harry McGaffin’s farm in Gilford the event is being held to mark the start of a Beef Scheme initiative aimed at providing European Angus breeders with a premium for their beef.

The Society has entered into a partnership scheme with Peter Hannan of Moira-based Hannan Meats as part of a programme that is designed to provide European Angus breeders with a direct route to market that will result in enhanced profits, dependant upon grades.
