Cash boost for properties hit by recent heavy rain and flooding

An Emergency Financial Assistance Scheme has been launched to offer assistance for non-domestic properties affected with the unique circumstances caused by the heavy rainfall during the period 7 November 2015 to 31 January 2016.

Small businesses, recreational and community buildings, places of worship and farm businesses in the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough affected by flooding due to the extreme weather conditions can now apply for assistance of £1000 (subject to criteria).

Information, application forms and guidance documents are available from the council website at www.armaghbanbridgecraigavon.gov.uk or by contacting the Environmental Health Department on 028 3751 5800.

The closing date for applications is 30 April 2016.
