Carrick drama group's '˜sold out' shows in Danville
It is the third year in a row that Uplift Performing Arts has taken a local cast to the Kentucky location.
During the three-week trip, they have been preparing local students for series of two-hour variety performances at the West T Hill Theatre in Danville.

Last week, the group worked with 64 young people from the community aged from five to 18. “We are teaching them an Uplift music exchange programme, which consists of a week doing performing arts workshops with a showcase on Friday evening, Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon,” Ryan added.
“[Last] week all our shows were sold out and the community has really supported the local theatre in this venture.
“It now feels like Danville is Uplift’s summer home and we hope to continue the connection for many years to come.”
