Carnival of Colours 2016 launch at Peace Garden
The Carnival of Colours, which takes place in St Columb’s Park, will take place on September 3 and 4 and will be jam-packed with top treats, featuring the very best of international street theatre and local acts interspersed with an eclectic mix of side shows and attractions to guarantee a full quota of belly laughs.
A magical experience for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, this unique event includes Big Top tents, a barn and a music stage bursting at the seams with comedy, circus fun, music and art.

Hide AdSupported by Tourism Northern Ireland, Derry City and Strabane District Council and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, a myriad of circus and street theatre shows will be presented from some of the world’s funniest International artists including master clown and slapsticker Nakupelle; The wacky Dr Skita; Acrobatic and juggling heroes Sideboard Sideshow, daredevil Felicity Footloose and madcap master of comedy and circus Martin BigPig. The headline shows will be supported by talented young circus stars from Northern Ireland, including Belfast Community Circus School with the entire weekend being opened by Your Space Circus School’s very own Performance Troupe in the Big Top. Adding to the family atmosphere will be a host of local walkabout characters, live music, storytelling, dance and art workshops, balloon modelling and face painting as well as a range of food stands.
The Gypsy Ball and Cabaret Night will take place on the Saturday night, featuring Rumble Club and Balkan Alien Sound, while on Sunday there will be a Kids’ Cabaret for families looking for a special night out together. For information on tickets for all night-time go online to www.wegottickets.com
Carnival of Colours is a showcase and celebration of In Your Space Circus’s year round work with children and young people.
The company’s Street Theatre and performance work is delivered across Northern Ireland.
