Carnany's health and well-being fair

CARNANY Community Association ran a health and well being fair on Thursday 25th February from 7.00pm to 9.00pm at the community house.

A variety of Health professionals were in attendance including, Reflexology, Body Massage, Podiatry, Chiropody, Iridology, and also several beauty treatments were available including mini facials, waxing and manicures. Catering was also provided.

The aim of running events of this nature is to try and tackle the disadvantage in the area and give residents the opportunity to try various therapies that they normally wouldn’t get the chance to do.

The event proved to be a huge success with a large number of residents attending. Further events of this nature will be organised in the future. On the night we had a lot of positive feedback from residents:

“A wide variety of therapies on offer”

“Had a really good night and got to try a lot of different treatments”

The event was funded by the Department of Social Development ‘Small Pockets of Deprivation Programme’ in association with Supporting Communities N.I.
