Carmel wins skincare bursery

A BANBRIDGE woman has won a bursary to help fund her study of infant skincare.

Carmel Doyle was selected to receive a bursary as part of a national programme for healthcare professionals, supported by Fairy Non Bio, Fairy Fabric Softener and Nursing in Practice.

The bursary offers 600 to contribute towards Carmel’s education and training in the area of infant skin care.

Carmel said, “I was absolutely delighted to receive notification that I had been awarded the bursary. I feel I will be able to expand my knowledge in infant skin care and spend some time at a dermatology clinic which will also improve my confidence in this field.

“There is always a need to improve and learn new skills, however, it can be difficult to secure funding for courses, so this award is very welcome and much appreciated.”
