Car used in robbery burnt out in Scarva

A CAR used in an armed robbery last week was later found burnt out in Scarva.

The Audi A4, used as the getaway car after four people armed with a handgun and a hammer stole jewellery from a shop in Tandragee on Thursday May 20, was later found burnt out on the Terryhoogan Road in Scarva.

Police made four arrests that night, and it is believed the car had been stolen from a dealership in Newtownabbey a day before the incident.

It is believed the three men and one woman involved in the robbery had strong Belfast accents.

The PSNI said they are keen to speak to anyone who saw a red Corsa or silver BMW in the Scarva or Tandragee area last Thursday afternoon, as well as anyone with information about the car hijacking.
