Callum is the lone star on Ronan Rafferty team

The Banbridge Ronan Rafferty team, under the management of Nigel Bryson, played the first leg of their first round match last Sunday against St. Patrick’s Downpatrick.

Banbridge were at home and expectations were high, but, as happens often in the Ronan Rafferty, things did not go to plan.

The Banbridge team of Callum Barnes, Gary McConville, Josh Crory, Jack McKerr and Rory McNiff looked very strong on paper but they found it difficult to give shots to the Downpatrick lads.

Callum Barnes won his game and got three and a half points. The rest of the team, despite their best efforts, only got another three and a half points.

So the score, at the halfway stage is Banbridge 7 St. Patrick’s 13.
