Busy summer start for young farmers

The annual Parents’ Night at the club’s Ballydown Road hall recently marked the end of the winter programme.

Members have since taken part in the CoDown heat of the Dairy Stockjudging and Silage assessment, the girls 5-a-side football tournament, the Build-It competition in association with Tesco, the Rally Night hosted by Co Down Young Farmers’, an Open Farm Weekend inPoyntzpass and the annual Co Down Beef and Sheep Stockjudging competition.

There were successes for Stuart Hanna, Noel Savage, John Porter, Stephen Cowan, Andrew Sleator, Stuart Cromie, Jonathan Sleator, David Sleator, Ruth Thompson, David Spiers, Alexander Mitchell and James Boyd, among others.
