Students learn about tourism

Students from Dromore High School and St Patrick’s College, Banbridge, are exploring enterprise and employment opportunities within the Tourism industry with local charity Young Enterprise NI.

The Mayor of Craigavon, Councillor Colin McCusker, welcomed 100 students from across the area to the masterclass event at Craigavon Civic Centre designed to inspire them to consider a future in tourism and hospitality.

The event encouraged and inspired young people as they heard from Young Enterprise business volunteer Sean O’Dowd from Ballydougan Pottery who as part of a judging panel deliberated over business concept pitches from students.

The charity works with young people of all ages and abilities to encourage entrepreneurial qualities at a young age.
