There’s still time to enter the 2014 Banbridge and District Business Awards - with the entry deadline extended to January 17.
The Banbridge Leader launched the prestigious and popular awards in November last year and already a number of local businesses have put their names forward for this celebration of all that is best about the commercial life of the district.
The awards are aimed at recognising the talent, entrepreneurship and excellence that exists across the full range of business and commerce in the area.
The theme ‘From Flax to the Future’ pays homage to the long history of individual and collective industry upon which local towns have taken root and flourished and the companies which carry on that tradition today.
The twelve award categories cover all aspects of business and industry, giving the opportunity to enter one or more categories.
The judging process will be carried out by an independent judging panel with some awards also going to a reader vote via the Banbridge and Dromore Leader.
Anyone can make a nomination regardless of whether they are an owner, employee or satisfied customer.
By entering, businesses will not only have the opportunity to gain recognition and publicity for their achievements but also the opportunity to boost staff morale, company image and customer confidence.
The Banbridge Leader Business Awards will take place at a gala black tie dinner and awards ceremony on Thursday, March 13 at the Belmont Hotel.
The Leader thanks all the category sponsors whose generous support has made the staging of the event possible.
Entering for the awards couldn’t be simpler - just see the entry form printed on page 15 of this week’s paper.
Among entry categories for the awards are: Best Retailer, Best Export Business, Best Outlet Business, Best Entrepreneur, Excellence in Tourism, Excellence in People Development and a special Lifetime Achievement Award.
