Burglars had southern accents

Police in Banbridge are appealing for information following a burglary in the Woodlands area of Gilford

Around 6.20pm on Tuesday, 25 February, the male occupant of a house found a male in the kitchen. Entry had been forced to the rear of the house.

The male had a blade, possibly a chisel or knife, in his hand, and threatened the occupant before making off. A second male was in the rear yard of the property.

The first male is described as being 5ft 10in tall, of thin build with black hair and was wearing a black jacket. The second male is described as being 5ft 8in tall with black hair and rounded face. He was carrying a claw hammer. Both males spoke with southern accents.

The males made off on foot towards Moyallen/Portadown Road on foot.
