Broadband boost for villages

Upper Bann MP David Simpson has welcomed the commitment of the Government and the Department of Enterprise Trade and Investment to push faster Broadband services further into rural areas.

The Upper Bann MP said he was given assurances that already over 80% of premises throughout the UK had superfast broadband with that set to increase to 95% by 2017.

Mr Simpson said “I am contacted regularly by rural dwellers and businesses alike regarding poor broadband speeds.
