'˜Brexit would be bad for Banbridge area'
Sinn Féin Assembly candidate John O'Dowd has said that a '˜Brexit' from Europe would be disastrous for Banbridge.
Mr O’Dowd said, “While we are in the middle of the Assembly elections we cannot and should not ignore the start of the Brexit referendum campaign and its implications for the Assembly, farming, the economy and society.
“Brexit would mean lost investment, negative implications for border controls and common travel, and the protection of workers and other rights.
“Does anyone believe a border control, customs posts will benefit the economic corridor that is the A1?”
