Banned from driving over no insurance

A Banbridge woman was banned from driving for twelve months last Thursday at the local court for a no insurance offence.

Kerry Devlin (36), Scarva Walk, Banbridge, was also fined £175 and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

For driving without having a licence she was fined £175.

The court heard that on March 13 this year she was caught on CCTV driving on the forecourt of Tesco at Bridgewater Park in Banbridge.

A solicitor representing the defendant said it was an impulsive decision onhis client’s part to take the car which belonged to her partner’s father.
