Banned for drink driving
Matthew Gilmore from John Street, was also fined £150 and in addition was ordered to pay an offender’s levy of £15.
Last Thursday’s court heard how Gilmore came to police attention on 21 April when police spotted him at 4.15am in Church Square, Rathfriland.

Hide AdHe was spoken to in relation to his insurance and during this time police noted obvious signs of intoxication.
A solicitor explained how Gilmore had been saving up for his insurance.
He had taken drink on the night in question but had gone home to sleep it off.
“His friend phoned to say he needed a lift. He was stopped and co-operated fully. He appreciates there will be a disqualification and that his insurance will now be expensive.”
Gilmore was given eight weeks to pay the fines.
