Banbridge lights up for Christmas

'˜Tis almost the season to be jolly and what better way to get that festive feeling underway than enjoying an evening in the company of Father Christmas and all his merry helpers at the Christmas lights switch-on event in Banbridge town centre on Friday November 25, from 6.30pm '“ 8.30pm.

The town centre will be buzzing with seasonal cheer, younger Yuletide revellers can get in a seasonal spin at the enchanting mini funfair plus why not go crafty for Christmas at one of our free wonderful winter wonderland workshops where you can make your very own delightful decorations.

The Cool FM Roadshow rides into town with top DJ Rebecca McKinney blasting out everyone’s favourite festive hits and tinsel tinted tunes guaranteed to have everyone rocking around the Christmas tree as well as offering the chance to win some exciting prizes.

The local Clergy Fellowship will be bringing a little joy to the world and have everyone in fine voice with a selection of traditional carols ahead of the main event as Deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Paul Greenfield, flicks the switch to light up the town Christmas tree.

The town centre celebrations continue each Saturday in the build up to the big day.
