Banbridge to host coaching workshop

The Southern Sports Partnership in partnership with Sport Northern Ireland are hosting the Sports Coach UK workshop '˜What is Talent' to be held at the Old Technical Building, Banbridge on Thursday 11th February from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.

This workshop as part of the scUK Talent Foundation series will explore the definition, understanding and research associated with talent in sport, discussing the implications for you and your athletes/players with coaches from other sports.

Within this workshop, you will explore the concepts of talent versus ability, explore the concepts of nature versus nurture, the interaction of biological, psychological and social factors, and the links to mindset, explore the key components of talent development, explore some aspects of the complex interrelationships between athlete, coach, environment and training and share current academic research regarding giftedness and talent, and be challenged to apply it to your own contexts.

The cost for this workshop is £20 per person.
