The participants attended a motivational training session prior to the main event which was led by Fire Master Adam Burman from Blaze Firewalking. Throughout the seminar they were given inspiration and encouragement to walk across 20 feet of wood embers burning at 1200° Fahrenheit without experiencing any pain or injury.

They were also given the chance to watch the fire being lit which did nothing to hinder their determination.

Ashley, who is part of Cedar’s Living Options Team, said, “I think Cedar are a brilliant charity. They do so much for individuals with disabilities and I feel really privileged to be a part of their Living Options Team.”

Christine Tweedie from The Cedar Foundation said, “Thanks to all the fearless participants who volunteered to take part in the firewalk.
