Army Insight for Jack
DROMARA’S Jack Millar was among about 40 young men and women to take part recently in a three-day Army Potential Officer Insight Course.
The Army continues to recruit locally for both regular and TA posts and the Ballykinler course saw students experience challenging exercises, while gaining insight into the Officer Selection Process and training techniques used at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst.
Said Jack, “While a lot of the weekend was about pushing yourself physically, I really gained a lot of confidence from the exercises to develop our leadership skills. The three days were a really valuable way to get an insight into life in the Army and what it takes.”
