Appeal for information on banner unfurling

LOYAL Orders historian, John McGregor, is anxious to find out if anyone has any photographs of the unfurling of a banner for Moyarget RBP730 which took place on Friday 17th August 1956.

The banner was unfurled by Mrs A. McLernon, scissors were presented by Miss Elizabeth Faulkner and a bouquet was presented by Miss Bridie Craig. Dedication of the banner was by Rev. J.E. Glenfield and devotional exercises conducted by Rev J.N. Goulden.

Platform Chairman was Sir Knight William Chestnutt. The banner was painted by Frank Hargie, Portrush. Dunaghy Pipe Band were asked to play the opening hymn at the proceedings and the parade to the field was led by Greenhill Pipe Band, Ballymoney.
