Annual Bowls Tournament is held in memory of Minnie Huey

One of the members of Donemana PW, Minnie Huey, who was also a very faithful member of the Donemana Presbyterian Church’s Bowling Club was remembered by her friends recently.

Each year in March, the club hold The Minnie Huey Bowls Pairs’ Tournament and this year was no exception. The tournament was held from Wednesday, March 12 to 15 in Donemana Presbyterian Church Hall. The ultimate winners were Ivan and Susan Moore from Drummond Bowling Club and Minnie Huey’s daughter, Jeannie Davis, presented the winners with the Minnie Huey Memorial Cup.

Meanwhile, there will be a lot of fun and competition at the Bowl’s Fun Day for a worthy cause.

Donemana Presbyterian Church’s Bowls’ Club is actively involved in raising money for The Chernobyl Children’s Fund and has been doing so for several years. This year the Bowls’ Fun Day will be held on Saturday, March 29, at 1pm.
