Local DUP MLA Sydney Anderson has called for road resurfacing to take place at Hillhead Park, Banbridge.
Mr Anderson said: “In recent days local residents living in Hillhead Park have contacted my constituency office to express their concern about the current condition of the road in the area they live.
“Subsequently I have visited the area to examine the current condition of the road. It would appear that there has been extensive patching and repairs of the road carried out over a period of time which has left it in a bad state of repair.
“I firmly believe that continuing to carry out the patching of this road into the future to deal with repairs is not the way to move forward.
“There has been so much patch work repairs carried out in the past that a complete resurfacing is now required.
“I plan to meet Transport NI on site in the coming days to highlight to them the current state of the road and to impress upon them the need for a complete resurfacing to be carried out.
“Hopefully, in the near future we can see progress to improve the condition of the road for the residents of Hillhead Park and the surrounding area.”
