As Alliance candidate Harry Hamilton has hopes dashed of taking to the NI Assembly stage, nervous politicians are eagerly awaiting how his transfers will affect the next candidates prospects of election.

Harry, lead singer in his band, Flash Harry, a Queen tribute, was ousted on the ninth count of the Upper Bann NI Assembly election.

Grieving grandfather UUP candidate Doug Beattie is attending his baby grandson Cameron Tindale’s funeral today.

However the UUP have hopes that Harry Hamilton’s transfers will see him elected as MLA.

And the SDLP’s Dolores Kelly is on tenderhooks as she hopes his transfers will go her direction and get her re-elected to Stormont.

With only three seats left, it is still an open book as to who may win the race to the NI Assembly.
