“Everyone is welcome to come along to enjoy a unique night with these very special children.

“There will also be opportunities to find out more about the charity, how to help through child sponsorship or going on teams and even a chance to buy genuine African crafts.”

New Beginnings is a Christian charity founded by Roger Annett from Kilkeel.

He said: “We exist in order to provide some of Uganda’s most vulnerable children with a loving Christian home, education, meals, medical care and security in our custom-built children’s village in Nakasongola, where we currently house around 120 children.

“These young people have come from backgrounds of abuse; many have been orphaned or abandoned and others were street children living rough on the streets of Kampala.

“They have found hope at New Beginnings.

“Some of these children have also found their voice; they have formed a wonderful African Children’s Choir and they have come to Northern Ireland to tour.

“They want to thank you for the help and money you have raised in the past, to raise awareness of the plight of vulnerable children in Uganda and to raise funds for the charity to help their brothers and sisters back home.”
