Accused of passing counterfeit euro notes at Tesco store

A 56-year-old woman was charged last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court with passing two counterfeit 50 euro notes on July 8 this year.

Irene McCusker, Ennis Green, Lurgan, was also accused of possessing counterfeit money on the same date.

A police officer told the court he believed he could connect her with the charges.

A public prosecutor said a full file was required and asked for an adjournment until September 14.

The defendant’s solicitor said it was alleged she passed two counterfeit notes in Tescos and was a fairly straightforward matter.

McCusker was remanded on her own bail of £250 with the condition that she stayed out of Tescos at Highfield Road, Craigavon.
