“The results indicate a high level of commitment on the part of many young people and the work of the staff,” said Mr Bell. “This, together with the support of parents and carers in helping these young people reach their potential and move on their the next phase of their education, is never taken for granted. All are to be congratulated.”

Mr Bell added the school community was “very proud” of all its young people who he said had produced a set of results which would allow many to progress into their chosen career path and lead to further education or training.

Speaking about the provision of A Level courses Mr Bell said, "We have the largest number of students coming back to us in Year 13 and we are delighted that many of our successful young people have entrusted us with their education for another two years as they make their way to university or college."
