Plenty of variety at Market Place

THE Market Place in Armagh is hosting varied musical performances this Friday and Saturday.

First on the bill is one of Ireland’s favourite pianists, Veronica McSwiney, who will perform a very special Recital with her daughter, violinist Aisling O’Dea.

Veronica has played worldwide in her long career both in recital and as soloist with many of the world’s leading Orchestras.

Aisling is one of Ireland’s leading Violinists, since coming to prominence in 1994 as winner of Strings in Ireland’s ‘Young Musician Of The Future’. She is now a member of the famous Scottish Chamber Orchestra and is also a founding member of the ‘Artisan Trio’ in Edinburgh.

This talented duo will perform for one night only on Friday, September 14, at 8pm. Tickets are priced £14.50 and £12.50 (concession).

In a world where pop stars think nothing of singing in their underwear, ‘The Nualas’ buck the trend by sporting proper, yet unbelievably glamorous, and shiny, stage attire.

The two original, founding ‘Nualas’, Irish comediennes Sue Collins and Anne Gildea, decided to get the ball rolling again after a ten year hiatus and approached American singer actress Maria Tecce to join the ranks.

Ray will perform at The Market Place Theatre in Armagh on Saturday, September 15, at 8pm. Tickets are priced £10 each.
