New exhibition at F.E McWilliam

The F.E. McWilliam Gallery and Studio is hosting a new exhibition entitled ‘Shared Inheritance’, which brings together for the first time the works of three well-known and highly respected Northern Irish artists - Richard Croft, Helen Kerr and Paul Croft - who are members of the same family.

‘Shared Inheritance’ runs at the F.E. McWiliam Gallery and Studio until Saturday, February 22, 2014.

The exhibition features over sixty works including paintings, embroidered batiks, lithographs and etchings.

A fourth member of the family, Amanda Croft, is known to many people as a lecturer in Art History. She has led numerous willing students around exhibitions and galleries imparting a wealth of information about art and artists. Amanda will be presenting a lecture on her family’s work on Tuesday January 14 at 7.30 pm, an experience she describes as ‘rather curious.’

The F.E. McWiliam Gallery and Studio is open 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays. Admission is free. For further information telephone 4062 3322 or visit www.femcwilliam.com
