Nesbitt back on Riverside stage

James will be appearing in a special Chat Show event, tonight (Tuesday), to celebrate his career to date and to mark the Theatre’s thirty fifth birthday.

Special guest for the evening will be BBC NI TV’s most respected political journalist and anchorman, Mark Carruthers. There were still a few seats left at the time of writing this.

On Wednesday, I, Elizabeth takes to the main stage.

Using only Elizabeth’s words, solo performer Rebecca Vaughan (Austen’s Women – this time last year &Edinburgh 2009 and Adelaide 2010 sell out), explores the queen’s struggle to reconcile the desires of womanhood with the duties of sovereignty.

On Friday, local actress Valerie Bray will be presenting the latest version of her tribute to the life and works of the brilliant Joyce Grenfell in her one-woman comedy George – Don’t Do That!

And finally, at 8pm on Saturday, James Huish and his nine-piece Swing Band will be returning to the Riverside for an evening of Swing as it should be done.

Singing all the classic standards from Sinatra to Bublé, James is a mixture between Harry Connick jnr. Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble. His on stage charisma is electric, coupled with his fantastic vocal ability this is the show not to be missed.

James, pictured above, is looking forward to returning to the Riverside Theatre and as well as favourites like, “Cry me a River”, “Crazy Love” and ‘Home” he will also be performing some of his new songs from his latest album “ It’s About Time”.
