I am remember well the snow starting to fall outside the window of our home at the time in Ravernet.
And when it started to follow it just didn’t stop for hours.
Meanwhile, the following morning my wife got the call from school telling her not to make the trek over to Larne as the school was closed.
And then later that day we took the dog out for a walk down to Duneight motte and bailey and we enjoyed playing in the snow with Scout and being snow angels. On the way back to the house we stopped at a bridge over the Ravernet River and saw that it was frozen solid.
The freeze lasted until Boxing Day, when we came home from my parents’ house in Bangor to find that one of the pipes was leaking because of the thaw.
