“With caring devotion patients are looked after with encouragement offered to members of their families who are often struggling to cope with the situation in which they find themselves. Vital support is given to patients with cancer, motor neurone disease and multiple sclerosis.

“The hospice depends largely on funding and has been supported in the past by many individuals as well as groups who have raised money through fund raising efforts. Clients are offered a wide range of facilities and treatments.

“While I was there I had the opportunity to chat with some patients and to meet with volunteers and staff. I will continue to give my support the Southern Area Hospice in Newry and I wish them well in the future.”
