NI ambulance crew become internet stars after Blinding Lights dance TikTok video goes viral

A group of six Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) workers have become internet stars after a TikTok video showing them dancing to Blinding Lights by Canadian singer The Weekend went viral on Tuesday.

The 15 second long clip was shared by NIAS on its official Facebook page.

The six NIAS workers are based in Altnagelvin Area Hospital, Londonderry.

The video was viewed tens of thousands of times within a few hours of it being shared.

"Do you want a break from the doom and gloom around us?," wrote NIAS on social media.

"When the blue lights flash on an ambulance in Altnagelvin it can only mean one thing - we are now taking bookings for our Altnagelvin Station Dancers for any post Covid parties," added NIAS.

The video is one of many being shared by people who work for the NHS during the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.

The short clips have been shared millions of times on social media and have been used by those battling the virus at the frontline to boost morale.
