IFA host sports nutrition seminar at Moneyslane

Jubilee Park, home of Moneyslane FC is to hold a free IFA-sponsored sports nutrition-mental health awareness seminar on Thursday August 8 at 6.45pm.

The Irish FA has developed this health programme aimed at managers, coaches and players throughout Northern Ireland to educate us on healthy eating, sports nutrition and mental health.

The seminar, which lasts just over an hour, will provide advice on what our players should eat before and after a game or training as well as educate us on what signs to look out for regarding mental health, such as stress and depression, and where professional help can be obtained.

Technical ability and fitness are important elements in the game of football. Over the last number of years we have also seen a rise in the importance and impact of nutrition, healthy eating and proper hydration.

The overall aim of the seminar is to increase the knowledge within our clubs that can be shared and adopted every week within all the teams in our local area.
