Students from Banbridge honoured at ceremony

Over 100 Students from local high schools celebrated their success recently at an awards ceremony for students participating on the School Partnerships' Programme (SPP) at Southern Regional College, Banbridge Campus.

Southern Regional College welcomed Year 12 students from Banbridge High School, Donard School, Dromore High School, New-Bridge Integrated College, Rathfriland High School, and St Patrick’s College to celebrate their achievements at this special awards ceremony.

Student Speaker on the day was Rebecca Adair from Dromore High School who outlined her experiences of the SPP programme at SRC.

The Overall SPP Student of the Year was awarded to Steven Megaw from Rathfriland High School and the Endeavour Award went to Jordan Schophaus from Banbridge High School.

Brian Doran, Chief Executive, Southern Regional College, said: “The partnership between Southern Regional College and the schools in the Banbridge Area Learning Community provides opportunities to pupils to benefit from a wider curriculum by undertaking a range of courses not available to them in school.”
