She continued: ‘What are we here to celebrate’? On one level we are here to recognise the achievements of our pupils within the past year but this is also an opportunity to celebrate ‘community’ and what that means to us – our shared triumphs are built on our shared goals, which are based upon our vision of providing an environment in which our pupils all feel cherished and valued.

“Our school approaches its 25th anniversary year and that vision for an inclusive education has not faded or diminished as educating our young people together regardless of ability, culture or religion remains the central business of our work here at New-Bridge.”

She then highlighted another busy year for the school with design work on the new school build progressing.

“Stage 2 design plans have been completed, so fingers crossed for the Planning approval that all runs smoothly - two consultation days have been planned – one in October and one in November for the general public to view the design plans, so I urge you all to visit one of those events to pledge whatever support you can and it will also give you a chance to see what our new state of the art building will look like –and we are so deserving of this – 2023 remains our move in date – we will continue to work hard with the relevant parties to keep our new build on track!”
