AB&C excels in people development

A LOCAL insurance company were the winners among a category of businesses who all excelled in People Development.

A,B&C Insurance was established in 1972 by Lurgan man Alan Brown and has had a presence in Banbridge for the past 10 years. The business has always displayed its ability to grow and, despite the challenging times of the 1970’s, developed into a well respected insurance provider in the mid Ulster area.

Today, Alan’s family continue to move the business forward contrary to the prevailing economic conditions and surge of online and big brand competition. Despite being perceived as a small provincial insurance business, the Partners and management of AB&C Insurance are experiencing unprecedented growth as a result of a combination of key values, strategic alliances, investment in people and skills and employment of technology. The firm offers a wide range of products for personal and commercial clients.

Customer care is the foundation of growth that without extensive marketing continues to draw customers through recommendation and repeat business.

In the summer of 1999 the business expanded to Banbridge from Lurgan and Dungannon with the acquisition of Hanna Hillen Insurance Services. Inheriting the experienced staff of Hanna Hillen Insurance Services the AB&C brand began to grow enabling the seamless acquisition of W F Moody Insurance Services (Poyntzpass) in 2004. The Banbridge office, although servicing a wider client base in the whole of Northern Ireland, is primarily focused on providing insurance services through the wider town, villages and and district of Banbridge.

Competitive and professional, AB&C still believes that our service is paramount, and with a local office, AB&C can bring value of premium and service to you through our offices located at 11 Church Square, on the corner with the Castlewellan Road.

Serviced from 1999 until 2011 by the same dedicated staff, it was only recently that this team has changed due to retirement and relocation. Two new staff, BarryTumilty and KarenWeir, joined Vera Willdridge who has been with AB&C from the start.
