THE Irish Game Fair and Country Lifestyle Festival at Shane's Castle, Antrim on June 26 and 27 is a great day out for all the family with a packed arena programme of entertainment.

Expect horses and dogs galore as well as birds of prey, snakes, spiders, chinchillas, guinea pigs, baby ferrets, rare breeds of pheasants and hens and more curious creatures such as Dalmation rabbits and curly-haired pigs!

One of Ireland’s largest Medieval living villages will be there to take you back in time plus you'll see armies of Dragoons and spectaular maurading Vikings this year too.

There's also fantastic displays of canine control from international gundog teams, the Irish International Gundog team, dog agility displays and Keith Mathews the Dog Guru, all wowing the audience with their uncanny canine training skills.

This year the theme is ‘Year of the Horse’ celebrating all types of breeds and the work they do, from tiny Shetland ponies to elegant Friesian carriage-driving horses plus hunters, running horses, hackneys.

Look out for the amazing Cochise Stud dancing horses and the US Horse Whisper, Franklin Levinson who puts on a magnificent display of equine control.
