A Viennese party at the Waterfront

Belfast Waterfront steps back in time to recapture the spirit, atmosphere and magic of a traditional 19th century Viennese ballroom during the Johann Strauss Gala: A Viennese Party on Friday January 24.

Showcasing a delectable fusion of music, dance and song, this is the ultimate New Year Viennese 
party.

Led by irrepressible showman and conductor, Rainer Hersch, this glittering showpiece will take the audience on a magical journey through a fabulously fizzing assortment of the finest waltzes and polkas from the Strauss musical dynasty and more.

Rainer will conduct the Johann Strauss Orchestra for performances of classic Strauss pieces including Blue Danube Waltz, Radetsky March, Roses From The South and Lucifer Polka. Charming soprano, Kristy Swift, will perform a sparkling selection of much-loved songs from this era of romance, including Arditi’s Il Bacio (The Kiss) and Lehár’s Vilja from The Merry Widow.

Completing the line-up for this enchanting production will be the highly acclaimed Johann Strauss Dancers in glorious costumes of the period as they capture the magic of the occasion by dancing to the most popular waltzes ever composed.
