Truck show returns

SATURDAY July 7 sees the return of the Mourne Car and Truck Show for a second year in Donard Park, Newcastle.

Organised by Friends in the Mountains Fundraising Group, the event is shaping up to be even busier than last year.

Alongside the expected modern and vintage cars and trucks are the new categories of tractors and Land Rovers. If you own any of these vehicles get in touch either by email at [email protected] or by phone on 028 3888 1888 and reserve your space today.

As a change to last year’s lorry pull there will be a Land Rover pull where teams of 4 or 6 can compete against the clock, or each other, over a distance of 100 metres.

Entertainment laid on for the day includes bouncy castles, inflatable slides, a rodeo bull and much more as well as a variety of trade stands and food stalls.

New this year will be a trial bike stunt demonstration – not for the faint hearted! A team of professionals from Banbridge will perform stunts throughout the day for the enjoyment of spectators.

The event will finish with a cavalcade of all vehicles from Donard Park and through Newcastle.
