Storytellin’ man rambles into Laurencetown

LAURENCETOWN, Lenaderg and Tullylish Community Association present Billy Teare, ‘The Story-Tellin’ Man’, on Saturday, March 26, at 7.30pm in the Community Centre, Drumnascamph Road, Laurencetown.

At the forefront of the Irish story-telling scene for over 30 years, Billy is recognised as one of the most popular and successful story-tellers around, having appeared on stage, television and radio.

He has been a featured artist at all the major folk and storytelling festivals around the world, including Bideford Folk Festival, Whittlesea Straw Bear Festival and the Yukon International Story Telling Festival. In 2008 he was the international teller in residence, at the National Storytelling Centre, Jonesborough, Tennessee.

Billy is in huge demand and will be ably supported on the night by the best yarn-spinners the local area has to offer. Doors open at 7.30pm and the entrance fee is £5 with all profits being donated to local senior citizens Christmas dinner.
