Pixie Lott and Katy B join Titanic line-up

Celebrating the opening of the Titanic Belfast attraction, and set against the backdrop of the iconic new building, the 16,000-person free pop festival will be staged in collaboration with Belfast City Council and Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB). Taking place on 13 April, the event will feature a stellar line-up of multi-million selling performers including one of the UK’s most successful male artists, Olly Murs, global superstar Sean Paul and smash-hit hot new talent Rizzle Kicks, in addition to Pixie Lott and Katy B.

MTV Presents Titanic Sounds also confirmed that, due to huge demand, an additional release of free tickets (subject to £5 admin fee) will be made available via Ticketmaster on Thursday 5 April 2012 at 9am (UK time).

Shining its global spotlight on Belfast, MTV will be filming the concert for broadcast across 63 MTV channels and 153 territories around the world as part of its ‘World Stage’ music series. MTV Presents Titanic Sounds performances will also be broadcast on MTV UK’s music channels from 5 May 2012.

EMA award-winning Pixie Lott, responsible for summer smash ‘All About Tonight’ from triumphant second album, ‘Young Foolish Happy’, will be appearing in Belfast fresh from Japan. The soulful, R&B influenced singer-songwriter, who has built a social media following spanning millions and legions of fans across the globe since her debut ‘Mama Said’ catapulted into the top spot just two years ago, will unveil a typically high-energy, polished performance of tracks from current chart-topping album alongside favourites from debut ‘Turn It Up’.

“I’m really excited to be going back to Belfast… you guys know how to have a good time! Woohoo!” said Pixie Lott.

Katy B is renowned for her lyrical style and massive cross-over appeal. Currently set to release ‘Anywhere in the World’, with Mark Ronson, Katy B is one of the most credible names and exciting talents in UK music. Off the back of the success debut album ‘On a Mission’ a genre-defining classic, Katy’s powerhouse MTV Presents Titanic Sounds performance will include a world exclusive of ‘Anywhere in the World’ in addition to tracks from her stable of hits.

Although the event is free, a £5 admin charge is being applied to all tickets, including those released from 0900 on Thursday 5 April from Ticketmaster (maximum four tickets per person).

Due to the Easter Holidays, it is advisable to book Ticketfast (print at home) tickets via the Ticketmaster website. If this is not possible, and Box Office Collection is chosen as an alternative, tickets must be collected from The Odyssey Box office by 3pm on Thursday 12th April 2012.

There will be no box office facilities at MTV Presents Titanic Sounds.

Doors to MTV Presents Titanic Sounds will open at 5:30pm on Friday 13 April with the first performance scheduled for 6:30pm. Under 16’s should be accompanied by an adult. Photographic ID will be checked on access to the event site.
