Performance academy opens at Community Centre

A new Saturday performance academy has opened in Dromore Community Centre.

The academy offers classes in hip-hop dancing and Acting. Every week the group’s numbers have almost doubled, and as they plan to enter competitions in November and a showcase in December there has never been a better time to join.

Hip-hop dancing uses creative choreography to improve rhythm, co-ordination and teamwork.

Within the acting classes the main focus is entering local festivals in categories such as group and mime, monologues, duologues and improvisation. However, theoretical knowledge of acting on stage taught to pupils while classes foster the imagination of pupils, boost self-belief and discipline.

Classes run on Saturdays in the bowling hall at the Community Centre; call Rebekah on: 07927899069 or join their Facebook group ‘Pamela Cassells School of Performance’.
