New Mini Harmony classes for kids

NEW Venture Mini Harmonies is coming to Banbridge and Dromore to help children build their love of music.

Developed and set up by Caroline Brolly to help children build their love of music, enhance their development and most of all have fun, the classes are based on tried and tested methods with influences from Colourstrings, Kodaly and Dogs and Birds.

Children are introduced to musical concepts through musical games, songs, chants, percussion and movement. Music-making is live and singing is unaccompanied or with a very light accompaniment so that young children can distinguish the melody and learn to sing in tune.

Features/Benefits include: Multisensory, active learning to promote stronger long-term memory, Understanding of pulse, rhythm and pitch, development of speech and language, gross/ fine motor skills, builds confidence; ability to perform/sing individually/ in a group, developing sight reading skills; rhythm and pitch, learning basic musical concepts/theory, social skills.
