New acts added to Chairman’s concert billing

TWO new acts have been added to Councillor Junior McCrum’s Chairman’s Concert, which is being held in Banbridge Leisure Centre on Saturday 27 April in aid of the Mandeville Unit at Craigavon Area Hospital.

There are now two new acts lined up to perform on the night, with Banbridge Ladies Choir (conducted by Mr Norman Brown) and Legananny Accordion Band joining the Pipes and Drums of the Royal Irish Regiment, Banbridge Academy Senior Choir and Banbridge High School’s Bongo Drums with compere for the evening Mr Paul Clark.

Commenting on the new additions to the line up Councillor McCrum expressed his delight that both Banbridge Ladies Choir and Legananny Accordion Band were now taking part in what will be a lively display of local talent.

He also urged everyone to come along to help raise much needed funds for the Mandeville Unit which provides cancer care facilities for approximately 1500 patients per month. The Unit is a partnership between Macmillan Cancer Relief and the Southern Health and Social Care Trust and depends heavily on generous donations from the public.

Tickets for this event can be purchased from the Banbridge District Council Civic Building or any of the Council’s Leisure Centres, priced £10.
