Learn to jive with Gerard

ALL-IRELAND champion tutor/dancer Gerard Butler will start a four week course of Jive classes in Tanvalley Hall, Rathfriland Road Banbridge on Wednesday April 10 at 8.30pm.

Gerard has travelled all over the world, passing on his talents and holds nine All-Ireland titles for different styles of dance.

More and more people are wanting to learn to jive, especially as when they are attending weddings or functions they don’t know what to do and can be shy of the dance floor.

Country music has made a huge come back with popular artists such as Nathan Carter, Derek Ryan, Jimmy Buckley, Johnny Brady, Robert Mizzell and Mike Denver to name but a few playing regularly in the area.

On occasion people attending these functions have shown great interst in dance classes. Dancing is a new way to loose weight and keep fit along with meeting new people and making friends.
