WITH just over a month to go until Northern Ireland’s most anticipated music event of the year, Tennent’s Vital and MCD are thrilled to announce that The Cribs will join Foo Fighters, The Black Keys, The Minutes and Trucker Diablo on Day 1 of Tennent’s Vital.

The Cribs’ new album ‘In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull’ hit the UK Top 10 upon its release in May, gaining huge critical acclaim. The release marks a return to the band’s classic three-piece status and heralds another chapter in the upwards trajectory of the Jarman brothers. NME said the album

“explodes with immediate, attention-grabbing riffs” and awarded it 9/10 and it hit the UK Top 10.

Tracks like Men’s Needs, Hey Scenesters’ and ‘Cheat On Me’ have established The Cribs as huge festival favourites and they return to Tennent’s Vital having originally appeared in 2005.

US rock icons Foo Fighters will make their long awaited Northern Irish debut on the back of their most successful year ever. Their latest album Wasting Light’ went straight to No.1 in 12 countries and helped them to pick up five Grammy Awards and their phenomenal festival and arena tour was a huge commercial and critical success.

With a back catalogue featuring the massive anthems The Pretender, Best of You, All My Life and Everlong, and a frontman as iconic as Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters at Tennent’s Vital is essentially un-missable.

The Black Keys are unquestionably one of the hottest bands in the world right now. They’ve just headlined some of America’s biggest festivals, including Coachella and their two most recent singles Lonely Boy and Gold On The Ceiling have been massive global hits.

Current album El Camino reached No.2 on the Billboard charts and followed similar success for their previous album Brothers which won three Grammys and was Rolling Stone Magazine’s album of the year.

Headlining Day 2, The Stone Roses bring their much anticipated reunion tour to Tennent’s Vital. The Stone Roses’ seminal music defined an era and their eponymous debut album is widely considered to be among the greatest albums of all time.

The band’s long-awaited ‘live resurrection’ has thrilled fans across the globe. All 220,000 tickets for their 3 Manchester shows sold out in an hour and tickets for their date in Dublin’s Phoenix Park proved equally popular.

Joining them on Day 2 is Florence and The Machine. The UK chart topping ‘Ceremonials’ has seen Florence and The Machine achieve massive success around the globe with the stunning singles No Light, No Light and Shake It Out.

Florence’s mesmerising debut Lungs sold over three million copies, won the coveted Brits ‘Best Album’ award and etched itself indelibly into the popular consciousness.
