‘Comfort fund’ collection for Marriot residents in Magherafelt
Staff at Clanmil Housing’s Marriot House residential home will be out and about in Magherafelt town centre on Saturday (August 9) from 9.30am to 4pm, as part of an initiative to raise money for the residents’ “comfort fund”.
Andrew Johnston, Clanmil’s scheme co-ordinator at Marriott House explains how the money raised will be used.
He says: “The residents’ “comfort fund” is designed to provide special treats and little extras for the residents, such as days out or bringing in entertainment that they can enjoy together in the common rooms. Our residents really enjoy these events which encourage them to keep active and spend time together, as a community”.
