Church hosting public meeting on tackling depression

DROMORE Reformed Presbyterian Church is hosting a public meeting entitled ‘Depression, Light to lift the darkness’, tomorrow (Wednesday 30 May) at 7.30pm.

Minister of the local church, the Rev. David McCullough, said every home in the community should have received a flyer highlighting what he called “this important meeting”.

He added, “If recent statistics are right then in our small town over five hundred people will struggle with depression at some stage in their lives.

“It is against that backdrop that we seek to provide practical and Bible-based help to sufferers and their families.

“We have asked the Rev. Robert Robb to come and share his story of his battle with depression and how he has come through the darkness.

“He is no stranger to mid-Down, being a former minister in Dromara Reformed Presbyterian Church.

“We look forward to welcoming many from the community on Wednesday 30 May at 7.30pm to our church building in Brewery Lane, off Meeting Street.”
