Buzzy end to the year for High School pupils

YEAR 11 Horticulture pupils were the first to visit Dromore Beekeepers’ Tullyhenan Fort Apiary.

The Beekeepers’ Association has close ties with the school as they use the premises to run their meetings.

The visit was hosted by Liam Murtagh and Norman Walsh who kitted the pupils out in protective suits. Pupils then got an opportunity to handle the frames and observe the bees at work. Further excitement was provided as pupils spotted the queen bee!

Dromore High School would like to thank Dromore Beekeepers Association for the opportunity.
